Good corporate governance promotes investor confidence and without it, businesses like Pikos are unable to compete for investment capital. We therefore take the issue of governance very seriously.

“Corporate governance” describes “the framework of rules, relationships, systems and processes within and by which authority is exercised and controlled within corporations. It encompasses the mechanisms by which companies, and those in control, are held to account.”

At Pikos, we address these issues by:

  • Providing total transparency in the logistical and financial reporting of the entities used to facilitate projects
  • Engage independent legal and accounting advisers overseeing compliance and reporting
  • Arrange senior debt through six of the largest Australian banks (NAB, Westpac, Suncorp, CBA, BoQ, ING)
  • Carry out due diligence, including an assessment of statement of financial position of the builder in all construction projects
  • Employ Australian Standard 4902-2000 Conditions of Contract when contracting builders
  • Engage independent construction managers and quantity surveyors to ensure that the works are competed in accordance with the feasibility of the project
  • Ensure all projects are ASIC compliant and where required, an Australian Financial Services Licence is utilised
